Can a Business Owner Qualify With an ITIN But No SSN?

Yes

  • An ITIN, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, is a tax processing number only available for certain nonresident and resident aliens, their spouses, and dependents who cannot get a Social Security Number.
  • We don't bother with SSNs for our process since we are dealing with amending tax forms.
  • As long as the employer filed their taxes then whether they have an ITIN or a SSN is irrelevant.
